This course is aimed at students who wish to improve their oral
communication skills in English, and who are further along in their
Bachelor's program or new entrants to the Master's program. Themes used
throughout the course will have a social science focus and participants
will be able to discuss the content and express points of view. Students
will also practice summarizing articles and paraphrasing text passages
orally and presenting facts in the form of short oral presentations.
Students will learn how to use language so as to agree/disagree
politely, to indicate their stance and to offer peers feedback. Grammar
and other language queries will also be addressed as the need arises.
