In this course, you will learn to understand the main points of speech, radio and TV programs on current events, and topics of personal and academic interest. You will practice reading different kinds of texts that consist of everyday and job-related language. You will also learn how to write simple connected texts. You will improve your speech interaction and production skills, using a wide variety of activities and exercises on topics that are familiar, of personal interest, or pertinent to everyday life. Grammatical points include state and action verbs, past simple and continuous, past perfect, used to and would, future forms, expressing plans, intentions, and predictions (will & be going to), real conditionals and modifiers.
