Social psychology is an important discipline that affects all of us as members of various social groups - from our family and friends to organizations to the wider society. We are constantly affected by these group memberships in our thinking feeling and behaviors - when we make decisions to help or not help, decisions to buy or not buy a certain product or decisions to behave in accordance with or against group norms - such as wearing a mask during the Covid pandemic. In this course, we will introduce the theoretical foundations of social psycholohg, we will discuss phenomena like attributions, attitudes and persuasion, aggression, prejudice, prosocial behavior or love and intimate relationships.
