Social psychology is an important discipline
that affects all of us as members of various social groups -
from our family and friends to organizations to the wider
society. We are constantly affected by these group memberships
in our thinking feeling and behaviors - when we make decisions
to help or not help, decisions to buy or not buy a certain
product or decisions to behave in accordance with or against
group norms - such as wearing a mask during the
Covid pandemic. In this course, we will introduce the
theoretical foundations of social psycholohg, we will discuss
phenomena like attributions, attitudes and persuasion,
aggression, prejudice, prosocial behavior or love and intimate relationships.
