Systems and Software Engineering I:
- is a project oriented course teaching systems and software engineering practices for AI. Students learn to think holistically and understand how to examine a system from a user perspective, modeling, architecting and design perspective, and from implementation and validation perspectives.
Part I of this course involves teaching of traditional software engineering practices and their modern practice in AI systems construction, while
Part II focuses on platforms for rapid engineering of data analytic solutions. This course is complemented by theory oriented courses in systems engineering and machine learning, that emphasize modeling, simulation, optimization, and the diversity of machine learning algorithms.
