The seminar introduces advanced concepts of data analysis and statistical computing using the R software suite. The course is tailored to doctoral and postdoctoral researchers in the psychological and biomedical sciences. We will introduce advanced multivariate statistical concepts and provide hands-on training in RStudio. Among others, topics include: (1) advanced programming skills, (2) creating R packages, (3) multivariate analytical approaches (PCA/PLS/CCA), and (5) and introduction to machine learning (ML) in R.
The course will be held on Friday mornings from 9.30 to 11 am. Prior to the 1st session, please create a GitLab account at https://gitlab.com, and forward me your username. The first session will be on Friday the 1st of November.
All course materials will be available online at GitLab. Before each session, I will also distribute a Zoom link that will allow you to join the session online. If you would like to follow the tutorials on your computer, please install R and RStudio prior to the course.
