• 18.11.2025 - The vindication of the rights of female characters

    Having considered different types of masculinity in the past few sessions, we'll look at how fanfics deal with or produce "strong women" in an online space that, at least on the level of characters/ships, is still overly male-centric.

    • Wir lesen nur die Einleitung, also S. 7-12. Der Text ist bisweilen sehr wissenschaftssprachlich und dadurch etwas schwierig zu lesen, aber er ist kurz und knüpft an viele Dinge an, über die wir schon gesprochen haben.

    • "Project: Heartstrings" by StapletonSpider (Arcane)

    • Beide Fanfics sind AUs, also selbsterklärend. Beide Fanfics haben auch mehr als 10.000 Wörter, daher lesen wir jeweils nur einen Teil.

      Bei Project: Heartstrings nur Kapitel 1, bei The Death of Compassion bitte lesen bis:

      “What’s that supposed to mean?” Anita jokes.
      Ajay just smiles and shakes her head. “I’m glad t’ have yuh on my crew is all.” She takes a deep breath. “Now get yuh rest. I’ll see yuh in the mornin’.”
