The readings "What is Minor Literature" by Deleuze and Guattari and Kafka's "Before the Law" explore how language and literature reflect marginalized experiences. Deleuze and Guattari point out three main features of minor literature, which is the deterritorialization of language, meaning to employ the dominant language in an own unique way; being political, instead of focusing on personal narratives; and the function as a collective voice instead of individuality. This can be connected with Kafka's "Before the Law" which illustrated the futility and alienation of trying to access "the Law", reflecting the existential struggles of those excluded by rigid systems. One can agree that Kafka's writing style amplifies the deterritorialization of language, however, I wonder if it's not less about a collective struggle and more about individual existential crises.
