Minor literature focuses on social and political marginalization themes, mostly produced by marginalized groups or minorities. Minor literature includes the subversion of dominant language; collective struggles are the focus rather than individualistic themes; literature becomes a tool for political resistance. Additionally, minor literature gives voice to marginalized experiences and transforms language, using it in ways that disrupt the usual meaning within the established culture. It essentially seeks to destabilize dominant cultural narratives, pushing society to rethink issues of identity and perspective, by transforming language and focus. Through these disruptions, the literature encourages new forms of awareness and societal change.
