From the title immediately, i had to think about Robin Hood.

With that in mind, cues that I have noticed are:

- a shared enemy usually "outsiders" or oppressive systems

- seemingly fighting for social

-> usually criminial activities are supported by the public because they are performed to bring justice e.g. murdering (oppressive) authorities

- myths help to spread a heroic image of popular figures

-> people perceive and share stories differently and most of the times exaggerate actual facts

-> stories about popular figures don't always align with their actual actions creating a false narrative

-> wrongly remembered and celebrated as heroes
